Best damn simple to use disk fixing tool out there.. Cause:  An Offline dynamic disk might be corrupted or intermittently unavailable. Any ideas around this without dropping hundreds $ for an external drive to backup my data? I have three physical drives on an xp machine: a 40gb system basic disc, a 120gb dynamic, and a 200gb dynamic.

Lastly, you're not recovering the LDM, your replacing the LDM with a regular partition table. it converted my dynamic disk with 115gb of data to a readable basic disk without losing anything.
