Have you tried reinstalling it?Have you tried adjusting the settings on the drive so it's allow to burn CD's? More questions Is it possible to burn blue-ray disks in a standard dvd burner? And unless you're using a stopwatch, you'll never notice the difference between, say, 18X and 16X anyway.
