View all 10 comments Report SL- Mar 22, 2009 at 12:59 PM I ALSO INSERTED A DISC INTO MY DVD- ROM BUT THE COMPUTER KEPT EJECTING THE DISC AND TELLING ME WHAT IS GOING ON!!!!!!! I have tried the firmware update, and that is not working either.The only thing that still has me confused is that it will still burn DVDs, and will read them before I didn't make any changes to my hardware. When ever I insert a CD or DVD into the drive it makes a type of sound (when plastic paper is inserted into the running processor's fan) and gets restarted.

Since then, my NEC ND-4570A doesn't read DVD-Rs I created years ago. You could do that first if you're reluctant to delete the filter and probably have to re-install something.
